Using Inkjet For Envelopes Printing

People often give order and design to the printers and they print the envelopes and also deliver it to your doorstep. But envelopes printing can also be done at your home, all by yourself. You can print your own customized envelopes with the help of your inkjet printer. It is easy and will not take too long to print your envelopes once you know how to do it. Your printer may be top feed or bottom feed; you will still be able to get your envelopes printing done without any problem. Before using the printer for envelopes printing you should always try a sample for the envelope.

For top feed printers, you will find the guides for adjusting the input tray. They will hold the paper still while going inside the printer for printing. Most of the top feed printers will have the left guide adjustable. When you are printing in the landscape mode you will need to set the landscape rotation to left. If your envelope is 8.5 inches or less you can select the portrait option in the printing window. For top feed printer, you should close the flap and place the envelopes top edge first into the printer. When you want the address printed, keep the flap's face away from you. And to print the return address the flap should be facing you. You can easily get the envelopes printing done by your top feed printer, but remember to print a sample before you go for the final printing. If your envelope is more than 8.5 inches wide then you should select the landscape option in the printer window. While placing the envelope, place the envelope on the left side of the tray and keep the flap closed. Then follow the same method for printing the addresses.

For bottom feed printers, the guides are a little difficult. The paper is usually kept at the right side of the printer tray. The inkjet printers that are bottom feed, need paper alignment to be set as right and the also the landscape rotation should be set as right. The side you want to print for envelope printing should be kept as face down. Some bottom feed printers need the paper to be kept in right or left of the tray. So you should always take samples, keeping the envelope in both sides and the flaps facing down.
